How iSPORTiSTiCS uses AD Digital's cloud solutions on its AUTOCAM platform

About three years ago, the Brazilian market was introduced to a completely new concept: the SSVP, that is, smart sports video platform, through the startup iSPORTiSTiCS. This concept was brought to the country by its four founders, lovers of all types of sports and voracious consumers of sports content and information.

In an interview with Proxxima magazine, in June 2020, Vinicius Gholmie, co-founder and CEO of the company, commented on the purpose of iSPORTiSTiCS: “Our Artificial Intelligence solutions can be compared to the most advanced internationally and are accessible to parents who wish to record their children doing tricks in the neighborhood field, to communication groups with sports content or companies and brands whose strategic objective is to generate business in the sports sector”.

iSPORTiSTiCS products already worked in cloud infrastructures, but it was in the process of creating the AUTOCAM solution that they realized they needed to find a more robust architecture, which allowed real-time video and audio processing. And it was at that moment that they chose to rely on AD Digital's infrastructure.

 

“With the increase in traction with high-end clients, and initiatives that require lower latency and response time, we started looking for an architectural optimization that would cover these gaps”, comments Rafael Vieira, director of iSPORTiSTiCS, who adds:

"The proposed design and implementation support by the AD Digital team allowed us to deploy projects remotely, in different geographies and in a scalable way; more importantly, it has allowed us to meet the strict demands requested by customers and partners in projects on this front "

With the infrastructure designed by AD Digital, the company can now, through its Artificial Intelligence solutions, identify key elements and actions for live broadcasts of games and edit and make this content available to the end customer in real time. This entire infra + AI solution was developed to identify actions and movements and, from there, dynamically zoom in on the content and relay it to the consumer. Furthermore, possible problems with intermittency and signal instability were mitigated with the new technology, which allows the expected content to be delivered in the best possible way.

 

Speaking a little about the implemented infrastructure, Hugo Nascimento, CTO at AD Digital, highlighted:

“It is now customary for our Solution Architecture and Engineering team to start putting together a project based on the client’s objectives. And the case of iSPORTiSTiCS is a clear example of this, we understand the company's needs and work together with it to reach an ideal architecture”.

This new infrastructure includes the integration of processing services, MediaLive, and media storage, S3, both from AWS. Combining this with services such as Lambda and CloudFormation, it is possible to create the entire end-to-end structure in an automatic and scalable way, according to the daily demand and needs of each client. All this without losing focus on the essential pillars for any production environment: security, scalability, availability, reliability and cost optimization.

Shortly after implementation, iSPORTiSTiCS has already negotiated the use of AUTOCAM with 5 large clients in this sector, which carry out an average of 10 transmissions per week, lasting approximately 2 and a half hours each. With the start of new championships, it is expected that more companies in this market will adopt the platform.

 

Based on the success of this platform, the idea is that the partnership between AD Digital and iSPORTiSTiCS will continue to expand and that architectures similar to AUTOCAM will be present in their next products.
