HOW AD DIGITAL SUPPORTED JOVEM PAN IN ITS DIGITAL CONVERGENCE MOVEMENT

In May 2020, Jovem Pan officially launched PanFlix, a streaming service that offers new, live content every day. This launch is part of the group's digital convergence movement, which was supported by AD Digital's consultancy and studio setup service.

Throughout its more than 70 years of history, Jovem Pan has always tried to get ahead and increasingly expand its reach and diversify its audience both on radio and online channels. Several hours of live journalistic content were already available on YouTube every day when the idea of taking this digital convergence to the next level arose.

The official opening of the studios took place in November 2019

In 2018, despite already having a vision focused on digital platforms, the group realized that they would need support to leverage their bets and chose to rely on AD Digital and its digital transformation consultancy. From the beginning, this initiative aimed to bring a digital foundation to Jovem Pan through agile methodologies and mindset changes.

These changes took the form of new strategies for both digital presence and content, which previously consisted only of video broadcasts of radio programs. To meet this vision of what this new phase of the group would be, Jovem Pan once again counted on the partnership of AD Digital, this time to lead the implementation of its new studios, located on Avenida Paulista, in the capital of São Paulo. The idea was to produce videos with television quality.

In an article by Exame, Tutinha, who currently heads the holding company, comments: “The idea was to make a digital TV filming the radio. The audience success encouraged us to invest in video”

The result of this consultancy and implementation work is Panflix itself, which has television standard content produced in the new studios. Today we can say that it brings together the best of Grupo Jovem Pan's programming, both on radio and on digital channels transmitted via YouTube: journalism, interviews, debates, sports, humor and entertainment programs.

The platform is now available on the main mobile devices

On the Meio e Mensagem portal, Claudine Bayma, the Group's marketing director, explains: “Some of the great differences of our streaming service are the original and diverse content we offer. With the large production capacity of our studios, we are able to make new programs available daily, in addition to live programming, so that the public can enjoy a universe of new content to watch whenever and wherever they want.”

And the launch of the platform is just the beginning. In the same matter, Claudine also adds: “We have several content projects underway with major international brands. We want to open new business opportunities and offer more 360° and integrated projects to our clients.”

The greatest certainty we have is that Grupo Jovem Pan's digital convergence movement will continue to expand and become another chapter in this success story.
